Dr Stratos Gotzaridis is a Vitreoretinal Specialist, Athens Retina Institute, Athens, Greece Born in Komotini, Greece, in 1962 Graduated from Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki – Greece. After fulfilling his military service, he trained in Ophthalmology in AHEPA University Hospital, Thessaloniki – Greece. One year funded Fellowship in Uveitis and Inflammatory diseases with Mr. William Ayliffe in Croydon University Hospital, London, UK 1997-1998. One year Fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery with Mr. Chris Canning and Mr. Andy Luff in Southampton University Hospital, Southampton, UK, 1998 – 1999. One year funded Fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery with Mr. Bob Cooling and Mr. Zdenek Gregor in Moorfields Eye Hospital, London UK, 1999 – 2000. A fellowship supported by IACOCCA Foundation and Harvard Medical School gave him the opportunity to work with Prof. Donald D’ Amico in Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary Boston USA, on research projects such as Optic Disc Surgery for CRVO, and ablation of the ILM with Erbium YAG laser using biological dyes, 2000 – 2001. Since July 2001 he runs a retinal practice in Athens focused mainly on surgical retinal problems. Medical retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathies, AMD and uveitis are in his main interests as well. Clinical research focused on the improvement of the surgical technique of vitrectomy is also in his main interests. A new technique which is a modification of the conventional 20 GAUGE Pars Plane Vitrectomy has been worked out and has been performed since 2003. Initially, as a tranconjuctival technique that was using sutures at the end of the operation. Then the technique was improved. This new technique reduces the operating time and the post operative inflammation of the eye.The post operative recovery time is shorter too (video). The technique has been presented in several meetings around the world. Many surgeons have adopted the technique. The last few years Dr. Gotzaridis MD has adopted the small incision instrumentation (25G and recently the 27G (gauge) in his surgery. These instruments together with the use of Constellation Machine of Alcon have improved the surgical results of the operative cases. Dr Gotzaridis is also a professor of ESASO (European School for Advanced Studies in Ophthalmology). Main topics of interest: Management of Epiretinal membranes, preretinal and subretinal membranes, pathology and management of re-retinal detachments (when performing relaxing retinotomies). Clifford D Brown currently serves in the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System as Chief of the Eye Clinics and work closely with both the Neurology and TBI Team Leads to provide in depth diagnostic and rehabilitative care for veteran service members. Previously, his active duty assignments have included the Department of Homeland Security (Senior Health Adviser and Senior Analyst/Operations Chief, National Biosurveillance Integration Center), the US Public Health Service (multiple Indian Health Service Hospitals as Chief of Eye Service), the US Army Deputy Chief of Eye Services and Behavioral Vision Chief for the Exceptional Family Member Department (97th General Hospital, Frankfurt, Germany), in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada as a Rehabilitative Consultant for five school districts in Alberta, and Manitoba (private practice), and the US Air Force Security Services Command as the Chief of Eye Care. After completion of under graduate and professional degrees at Pacific University, Oregon in 1973, he completed Fellowship (1986) and Diplomate (2000) studies and a Master of Public Health in 2008. In 2006 the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States awarded him the 2006 David Sullins National Service Award. He served the past eight years as a Reviewer of professional articles for the Journal of Military Medicine and as Examination Board Member for American Academy Diplomate Public Health/Environmental Vision for ten years. He introduced TBI as diagnosis in need of military care in 2004 to Scientific and Research Symposium, and as a source of domestic violence nationally in 2008.

Boris Gramatikov obtained his Dipl.-Ing. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Technical University of Ilmenau, Germany, and his Ph.D. from the Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria. He joined the faculty of The Johns Hopkins University in 1996, and works in the Laboratory of Ophthalmic Instrumentation Development since 2000. He is an active member of the IEEE, having chaired the Baltimore Section in 2006, and being the Section’s Director for Continuing EE Education since then. After a residency in Ophthalmology at Moorfields Eye Hospital he worked as Senior Registrar at The London Hospital and The Hospital for Nervous Diseases, Queen Square. This was followed by a Fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute with Dr. Lawton Smith and a brief period with Dr Hoyt in San Francisco. On returning to in 1969 London Alan Bird was appointed to the Institute of Ophthalmology as Lecturer, and subsequently Senior Lecturer, Reader and Professor, and Consultant at Moorfields Eye Hospital. He changed his main interests from neuro-ophthalmology to retina, and a specialised clinical service was established. This was aided by the conversion of clinical activity in Moorfields Eye Hospital to specialised Services, and the Medical Retinal Service now holds 34 clinics each week, and has 12 Consultants. Over the years a productive multidisciplinary research team developed for the investigation of monogenic retinal disorders and age-related macular disease. Investigative techniques included molecular genetics, electrophysiology, psychophysics, specialised imaging and morphology. Establishment of research programmes was aided by the successful development of the Institute of Ophthalmology, which became a School of University College, London. In order to contribute fully to research, he spent a sabbatical period with Dr Dean Bok at UCLA in 1985. On October 1st 2005 Dr Bird retired from full time clinical practice and was appointed Emeritus Professor at London University and Honorary Consultant, Moorfields Eye Hospital so that research and teaching can be continued. On June 24, 1995 he got the the Diploma of the European Board of Ophthalmology in Milano. During the 1990-91 Academic years to now, he co-operated with his Teacher in lectures and practice with the students of the 5th course year, and with tutorial activity for dissertations for the Degree in Medicine and Surgery and for specialisation in Ophthalmology. Her scientific activity is concerned with corneal diseases, the subject of her academic (DSc) dissertation. The number of her publications is 252. Formerly she was the representative of Hungary in several international ophthalmological associations. She was the organising manager and president of the XIth SOE Congress in 1997. A founder member of EAO (Chair XVI) and elected member of AOI (Chair LVII). She is the author of the textbook ’Ophthalmology’ whose 4. edition appeared in 2015. She holds several international and Hungarian awards, including the „Cross of Honour” decoration of the Republic of Hungary given by the Head of State and the Semmelweis Prize given by the Hungarian Ministry of Welfare.

Janardan Kumar, Ph.D., a professor of microbiology at Becker College in the United States, started his schooling at home under a tree in a small village named Rajapakar in the state of Bihar, India. His esteemed teachers, the late Sri Raghunath Prasad and Dr. Udai Narain, were real mentors who prepared him to become a confident go-getter in the fierce pursuit of his dreams. In the United States he received post-doctoral training in glaucoma at Duke University Eye Center, North Carolina, a nationally renowned eye research laboratory, under the supervision of Dr. David L. Epstein. Dr. Kumar’s approach to ex-vivo perfusion studies showed, for the first time in the history of glaucoma research, that thrombin may be involved in the pathophysiology of glaucoma; he presented those findings at ARVO in 1999. The study of glaucoma is the most humbling of disciplines – closely associated with both clinical failure and lack of understanding, yet due to Dr. Kumar’s exceptionally strong work ethic and innate scientific vision, Dr. Epstein always referred to him as a potential “superstar.” Dr. Kumar’s main objective in his involvement with the prestigious OMICS eye conferences is to bring eye clinicians and scientists together in order to further advance glaucoma research globally.

Ioannis Pallikaris received his medical degree at the University of Thessaloniki, Greece (1972) and completed his residency and PhD thesis at the University of Zurich, Switzerland (1981). Jacob Lorenzo-Morales completed his PhD in the University of La Laguna in 2001 and held postdoctoral positions at the University of Edinburgh until December 2011 when he was granted a Ramón y Cajal Tenure Track Fellowship by the Spanish Government. His work has been focused in Free-Living Amoebae infections mainly Acanthamoeba keratitis. He has published more than 60 papers in reputed journals in the parasitology and tropical medicine fields. He graduated in medicine (M.B.B.S) in 1970 from Tanjore Medical College (affiliated to Madras University), Tamil Nadu, India. He did his training in ophthalmology in the Eye Department of Kuala Lumpur General Hospital, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and the Princess Alexandria Eye Pavilion (Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh) in United Kingdom. He received the Diploma in Ophthalmology from Royal College Physician of London and the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1977. He was admitted as a Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1978. In 1989, he was admitted without examination as a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologist. He was admitted as a member of the Academy of Medicine Malaysia in 1991. He is also a Fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmologists. In 1982, he established the Muthusamy Medal for the most outstanding candidate in the final Fellowship Examination in Ophthalmology conducted by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in each Academic year. He has received the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh College medal for his contribution in the field of Ophthalmology to the College. Professor Anthony C B Molteno graduated in medicine from the University of Cape Town. He worked as an ophthalmologist at Baragwanath Hospital before becoming acting head of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Stellenbosch and Tygerberg Hospital. He came to the University of Otago in 1977, and was head of ophthalmology at the University of Otago Dunedin School of Medicine from 1987 to 2014. He taught and examined medical students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and he and his wife, Tess, have mentored decades of ophthalmology registrars. He became a full Professor in 2002 and Emeritus Professor in 2012, and retired from clinical and teaching work at the end of 2014. He continues his active research programme, which has been partly funded in 2014 and 2015 by a Lotteries Health Translational Research Project Grant. He is particularly known for developing the world's first glaucoma drainage implant, the Molteno implant, which is still considered the 'gold standard'. Dr. Stephen G. Odaibo is a Nigerian-born Physician, Mathematician, Computer scientist, Neuroscientist, Physicist, and Retina specialist. He won the 2005 Barrie Hurwitz Award for Excellence in Clinical Neurology at Duke University School of Medicine where he topped the class in Neurology. Dr. Odaibo is a Retina specialist at the Medical Associates Clinic in Dubuque Iowa. He is also Chief Scientist and Founder of Quantum Lucid Research Laboratories, an Independent Computational Research Institute. From 2004 to 2006, Dr. Odaibo was in the lab studying G-protein coupled receptors with Robert J. Lefkowitz, the 2012 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry. Dr. Odaibo obtained a B.S. in Mathematics (UAB, 2001), M.S. in Mathematics (UAB, 2002), M.S. in Computer Science (Duke, 2009), and Doctor of Medicine--MD (Duke, 2010). Dr. Odaibo's research interest is Algebraic Structures, a branch of pure Mathematics. His interest is motivated in part because at the root of any medical or scientific breakthrough is a mathematical discovery or application. In addition, Mathematics is simply the study of physical truth in its purest form, and is a beautiful experience and privilege which he enjoys. Dr. Odaibo's clinical interests are in the diagnosis and Medical/Laser management of retinal disease. Janardan Kumar holds a Ph.D. degree in chemistry under kind supervision of Dr. C. M. Gupta, ex-director, CDRI, Lucknow, India. In the United States, first he received postdoctoral training on motor proteins in the laboratory of Michael P. Sheetz, a lasker award winner, at Duke University Medical Center, North Carolina. He published his work on kinectin, a myocilin like protein, in Science (1995), and an abnormality in myocilin has been predicted to be involved in the pathogenesis of glaucoma.Prior to coming to Becker College, while a research assistant professor at Tufts University, Kumar engineered a new real time perfusion system used for the discovery of drugs to treat glaucoma. Professor Ningli Wang is the Director of Beijing Tongren Eye Center and the vice president of Beijing Tongren Hospital, which is one of the two largest eye centers in China and provides a comprehensive and seamless Ophthalmic Service for 30,0000 outpatients and 54,000 surgeries annually. He is also the Director of Beijing Institute of Ophthalmology and the president of School of Ophthalmology, Capital Medical University. Prof. Wang is the President of Chinese Ophthalmology Society and also the President of Beijing Medical Association, Ophthalmology Society. Prof. Wang also serves as the Vice Chairman of Committee of China Medical Doctor Association. Prof. Wang is an active academician in Asian region. He is the Committee of Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO), the Committee of Asia-Africa Academy of Ophthalmology and the Executive Committee Member of World Glaucoma Association(WGA). Professor Ningli Wang has done many pioneering research works in Ophthalmology: 1. He proposed the new classification system of primary angle-closure glaucoma based on the mechanism of angle-closure; 2. He proposed the new theories that glaucoma may be caused be the high Trans-Lamina Cribrosa Pressure difference and conduct a series of studies to verify it; 3. He performed the study on the mechanism of glaucomatous posterior retinal neuron damage, and proposed the concept that glaucoma is a disorder of whole visual pathway; 4. He discovered the pathogenesis of exfoliation syndrome in Chinese population is different from that in European and American people, and made the diagnostic criteria of exfoliation syndrome for Chinese people; 5. He designed and spearheaded a number of new ophthalmic technologies, such as non-penetrating trabecular surgery, improved surgical extra-trabeculotomy, Schlemm's forming dilatation, two-phase aqueous drainage implantation and endoscopic implantation in high myopia etc; 6. He introduced the high-frequency ultrasound biomicroscopy and designed the ophthalmic panoramic ultrasound biomicroscopy with independent intellectual property rights; 7. He performed manufacturing technology and equipment research on implantable and individualized higher-order aberration corrective lens for human eyes by integrating innovation; 8. He organized some large-scale eye disease epidemiology in China - Handan Eye Study and An Yang Children Eye Study.Because of Prof. Wang’s academic accomplishment, he was awarded the second price of National Scientific Progress Award by the State Council in 2013 for his contribution in Primary Angle Closure Glaucoma (PACG), and won the first price twice in 2011 and in 2012 from Chinese Medical Association. And he was honored by Ministry of Health with Outstanding Contribution Expert Award. He was also honored by Chinese Medical Doctor Association for Medical Doctor Award in 2010. Jacob Lorenzo-Morales completed his PhD in the University of La Laguna in 2001 and held postdoctoral positions at the University of Edinburgh until December 2011 when he was granted a Ramón y Cajal Tenure Track Fellowship by the Spanish Government. His work has been focused in Free-Living Amoebae infections mainly Acanthamoeba keratitis. He has published more than 60 papers in reputed journals in the parasitology and tropical medicine fields. He has been the Scientific Secretary in the last two editions of the International free-living amoebae meetings (FLAM 2009 and 2011), invited speaker at the symposium of free-living amoebae of the International Congress of Parasitology 2014. In November 2013 he was awarded the Individual Award for Young Canary Islands Citizens by the Canary Islands Government in recognition to his research career.

Professor Jimmy Lai graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, the University of Hong Kong in 1983. He joined the Eye unit at the Prince of Wales Hospital in 1984 where he received his basic and higher surgical ophthalmology training. He spent 6 months in the Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion, Edinburgh for his higher surgical training in 1989. He obtained his Fellowship and Master degree in 1990. He obtained the Fellowship of the Academy (Ophthalmology) in 1993 and became the founding fellow of the College of Ophthalmologists of Hong Kong in 1995. Professor Lai continued his ophthalmology practice at the Prince of Wales Hospital which was the teaching hospital of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He received his pre-fellowship training in the Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion, Edinburgh and post-fellowship training in the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Boston, and the Aichi University, Nagoya, Japan. He started his involvement in scientific research and publications in the late 90s. His sub-specialty interest is in glaucoma. He is a pioneer in applying argon laser peripheral iridoplasty (ALPI) to the initial treatment of acute angle closure glaucoma and acute phacomorphic glaucoma. With his work on this area, he obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2004. He is also a pioneer in introducing the selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) and goniosynechialysis (GSL) to Hong Kong for the treatment of open angle and closed angle glaucoma. Before he joined the Department of Ophthalmology, the University of Hong Kong in 2008, he worked in the United Christian Hospital as a consultant ophthalmologist.

Upon graduation he was employed as an Assistant Professor of Biopharmaceutics at the University of Nebraska Medical Center for one year. Tara Moore is Director of the Biomedical Research Institute and Group leader for Vision Science research in the School of Biomedical Science at Ulster University. Tara graduated from Queen’s University of Belfast in 1994 and in 1997 with a PhD in Immunology and Virology. Over the past 10 years she has built a team of researchers with the one common goal of improving both diagnostics and therapeutics for diseases of the eye which ultimately can result in blindness. Tara has a successful track record of obtaining grants to fund her research. She is associate editor and reviewer for a number of eye related journals and consistently publishes her research findings in peer-reviewed journals. Tara was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship for developing an online PGDip/MSc Cataract Refractive Surgery course for Ophthalmologists and eye care specialists.

Kay Rittenhouse has an extensive career in ophthalmic drug research and development, spanning from drug discovery, translational research, clinical development through launch. She has developed drug targets presented on platforms such as small molecules, aptamers, antibodies, and siRNAs. She is a sought after presenter and chair of scientific conferences and forums and has published abstracts, book chapters, and manuscripts for peer reviewed journals. Her drug development expertise includes indications such as glaucoma, retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and AMD, uveitis, and diseases of the ocular surface. She received a Ph.D. in pharmacokinetics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He did his fellowship in Retina and Vitreous by Federal University of Goias, after graduating from the Federal University of Goias. Dr Chang is presently the Director of the Guy Hugh Chan Refractive Surgery Centre of Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital and has been interested in Cataract and Refractive Surgery for many years. He is Clinical Instructor for many refractive intraocular lenses and surgeries including LASIK, Intra Corneal ring, Conductive Keratoplasty and Phakic Intraocular Lens. Sarah Zhang is a well-established clinician-scientist and vision researcher and has published over 75 peer-reviewed journal articles, reviews and book chapters. Rebecca Sappington earned her M.S. and Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, where she studied mechanisms of ganglion cell death in glaucoma. Rebecca continued her work on neuronal-glial interactions in glaucoma as a postdoctoral fellow at the Vanderbilt Eye Institute, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine (2004-2009). In 2009, Rebecca joined the faculty at the Vanderbilt Eye Institute, where her laboratory focuses on neuroinflammation in retinal neurodegeneration. Rebecca´s training was supported by institutional training grants from the National Institute for Neurological Disease and Stroke and the National Eye Institute as well as a postdoctoral fellowship from Fight for Sight. Her work is currently supported by a RO1 from the National Eye Institute and a Career Development Award from Research to Prevent Blindness, Inc.

Sayon Roy received his Ph.D. from Boston University and completed his postdoctoral training at Schepens Eye Research Institute, Harvard Medical School, Harvard University. He is currently a professor of Medicine, Section of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Nutrition, and a professor of Ophthalmology at Boston University School of Medicine. Recognized as an expert in retinal vascular biology, Roy’s seminal work has identified several genes in the retina that are abnormally expressed in diabetic retinopathy. His pioneering work has led to novel gene modulatory techniques in retinal vascular cells using antisense oligonucleotides via intravitreal injection. Roy has received numerous awards including the American Diabetes Association Research Award for the commitment and dedication towards the fight against diabetes, the 2006 Mentor of the Year Award from Boston University, and the 2008 Innovative Award from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Research in Roy's laboratory has been funded by several organizations including the National Eye Institute, NIH, National Medical Technology Testbed, American Diabetes Association, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International, Fight for Sight, Research to Prevent Blindness, and the Lions Organization. Roy currently serves as a chartered member of the NEI Study Section of the National Institutes of Health.

Sandeep Jain is Associate Professor of Ophthalmology, Cornea Service, Director at Corneal Neurobiology Laboratory and Director at Dry Eye Service and also Editorial Board Member at Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences; Ocular Surface. Soledad Cortina is an attending physician in the Cornea Service and Director of the Comprehensive Ophthalmology Faculty Practice, the General Eye Clinic and the Keratoprosthesis Artificial Cornea Program within the Cornea Service. Dr. Racette is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Eye Institute at Indiana University’s School of Medicine (Indianapolis, IN), and an adjunct professor at Indiana University’s School of Optometry (Bloomington, IN). Serena Wang joined the U.T. Southwestern faculty in November 2006, following a successful private practice in Dallas and Plano for the previous two years. Tuebingen/Germany. She has published more than 404 papers, those are been published in national and international journals of ophthalmology, basically on topics such as surgery of retinal detachment with long-term follow-up of anatomic and functional results, cryopexy histology, tumors, AMD, diabetic retinopathy, and intravitreal pharmacotherapy. Luiz Guilherme, is graduated in Medicine from the University of Grande Rio - RJ- Brazil, He did his Ophthalmology residency at the Hospital de Olhos Santa Luzia / Santa Luzia Foundation (Recife - PE - Brazil). He did his fellowship in Retina and Vitreous by Federal University of Goias, after graduating from the Federal University of Goias. He is a member of the Brazilian Council of Ophthalmology (CBO), Brazilian Society of Retina and Vitreous, International Member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists also he posses the membership of Scientific reviewer of the Brazilian Archives of Ophthalmology, the Expert Board and Scientific reviewer of the International Journal of Ophthalmology. He contributes as author of scientific publications and chapters books of ophthalmology, he is serving as a professor of the Ophthalmology Residency at the Hospital de Olhos Santa Luzia.

Miguel Rechichi has completed his training in ophthalmology at 28 and his PhD at 32 from Magna Graecia University and Diploma of Specialist Superior in Ophthalmology from University of Lugano (Switzerland). He’s actually a researcher for Magna Graecia University and Director of corneal and refractive Surgery service of S.Lucia Eye Clinic, Cosenza, Italy. He was a pioneer of crosslinking clinical application and actually is involved in developing new accelerated cxl protocols for which he’s invited as opinion leader to several meetings. Sarah Zhang is currently a tenured Associate Professor of Ophthalmology, Biochemistry, and Neuroscience at School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, State University of New York. She is a faculty member at the SUNY Eye Institute and Graduate School at SUNY Buffalo. Sarah Zhang is a well-established clinician-scientist and vision researcher and has published over 75 peer-reviewed journal articles, reviews and book chapters. Her laboratory studies disease mechanisms and ER stress signaling in diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration and glaucomatous retinopathy. Dr. Zhang has served on Editorial boards for 7 professional journals and on NIH and international grant review panels.

Yoko Miura has completed her M.D. in 1997 and Ph.D. in 2002 from Osaka City University in Japan. Manijeh Razeghi joined Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, as a Walter P. Murphy Professor and Director of the Center for Quantum Devices in Fall 1991, where she created the undergraduate and graduate program in solid-state engineering. She is one of the leading scientists in the field of semiconductor science and technology, pioneering in the development and implementation of major modern epitaxial techniques. Her current research interest is in nanoscale optoelectronic quantum devices. She has authored or coauthored more than 1000 papers, more than 30 book chapters, and 16 books. She holds 55 U.S. patents and has given more than 1000 invited and plenary talks. She received the IBM Europe Science and Technology Prize in 1987, the Achievement Award from the SWE in 1995, the R.F. Bunshah Award in 2004 and many best paper awards. Dr. Razeghi is an elected Fellow of SWE (1995), SPIE (2000), IEC (2003), OSA (2004), APS (2004) IOP (2005), IEEE (2005) and MRS (2008), and IBM teacher of excellence 2013. She is editor, associate, and Board member of many journals, including Nano Science and Nano technology.

Nanoscale Optoelectronic Quantum Devices

Bonnie Molloy has been studying postoperative visual loss (POVL) and conducting research in this field since 2005. She completed her doctoral dissertation in 2010 in the Development of The Molloy / Bridgeport Anesthesia Associates Observation Scale (MBOS). She presently is the Chief CRNA in the Bridgeport Anesthesia Associates practice at Bridgeport Hospital and as a Yale healthcare affiliate has conducted research at Yale New Haven and the Hospital of St. Raphael. She is the Research Director of the Anesthesia Department at Bridgeport Hospital as well as a clinical and didactic faculty member for the Fairfield University Doctor of Nursing Practice Program.

She was a surgical/anesthesia research team in discussing POVL, Robotics and Cosopt interventions in pursuit of normalizing rising IOP in the ST position.She conducted research in Development of The Molloy / Bridgeport Anesthesia Associates Observation Scale (MBOS) correlating rising intraocular pressure (IOP) to observations in eyelid and conjunctival edema during steep trendelenburg (ST) surgical procedures.

Shroug Aldaham has recently graduated from Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), Spain with a PhD degree in Optics, Optometry and Vision. She has a BSc (Hons) in Optometry from King Saud University (KSU), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and a Master of Science in Vision Science from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. She has joined the Optometry department at KSU as a demonstrator (an academic position that prepares for professorship) before joining the Master program in Canada. After her masters she returned to Riyadh and later joined the PhD program at UCM. Both of her Masters and PhD studies were Saudi government-funded research grants. She has a research experience in pediatric vision screening and visual function testing in diabetics and has published in international optometric and vision research meetings. Her research interests are pediatric and diabetic visual function
